The Amelie Philosophy

An antidote to the modern rush — where every detail is considered and every moment is yours.

Amelie Cafe interior — Sakae, Nagoya

Where Two Cultures Meet

Amelie Cafe was born at the intersection of two worlds: the Japanese tradition of wabi-sabi — finding beauty in imperfection and transience — and the Parisian culture of the café as a space for lingering, conversation, and pleasure.

The result is a space that feels both serene and alive. Natural materials — wood, concrete, ceramic — uncluttered surfaces, and light that changes slowly through the day. A room that asks nothing of you except to be present.

Our Values

Sourced Responsibly

We partner exclusively with importers who provide complete transparency on farm-gate prices. Every bean is traceable. Every ingredient has a story. We pay above Fair Trade prices because the people who grow our coffee deserve a living wage.

Baked In-House

Every pastry is made in our kitchen each morning. No preservatives, no shortcuts. We use locally sourced flour, organic butter, and ceremonial-grade matcha. The smell of baking croissants is your first welcome.

Zero-Waste Kitchen

All takeaway packaging is compostable. Coffee grounds are collected weekly for local garden partnerships. We offer a ¥20 discount for reusable cups. Small decisions, compounded daily, make the difference.

Light Roast Philosophy

We believe in letting the bean speak. Our espresso blend is developed to highlight brightness and complexity, not to mask origin character with dark roast bitterness. If you taste jasmine in your coffee, that's not an accident.

Experience it in person
